squee. shoes. and clothes.
Finally went shopping for my birthday present with my grandma. and um, since my parents were like 'oh yeah, we'll pay you back for Reading', um, I went a little crazy.
total gets: boy fit jeans, a pink stripy hoodie, penguin and star t-shirt, yellow animal t-shirt, black Rocket dog flats [with hearts and skulls, how cute], matching bra and pants, and socks. :D I blame the shoes and the jeans and hoodie on Emmy, since we were talking about them last week.

so I'm currently wearing the flats to break them in/stretch them. ugh. pain. the size up didn't fit at all, but these are a little tight.
...I totally want more.

also, goddamit, I'm addicted to reading One Piece. I'm currently on chapter 384. ¦D

I also have desires to cosplay. uh, shit.

I want to go back to Manchester and swim. swimswimswim. *makes like a fish*

I've always been kind of 'ehhh' at the art, but it gets so much better. in the more recent arcs, Nami is actually really pretty. and I've always been a kind of sucker for shounen type plots. especially when conspiracies get involved. [see also, air gear.]

Dude, you start to love the artwork after a while, don't you? I really didn't want to read it at first, because I hated the art. And then it really began to grow on me, and I realized that Oda is really a talented artist. Like... he is amazing at perspective and rarely, if ever, uses tones. I love it. ♥

I did get put off by the art at first [like, I don't like escaflowne because the noses freak me out] but thr plot was actually enough to keep me reading, and then I began noticing all the pretty colour pages.
plus Nami. I know you said in a recent[ish] post she's become purely fanservice, but I can't helping going '...so pretty o_o'

Haha, the noses in Escaflowne ARE freaky.

And yeah, I do consider Nami (at least recently) total fanservice. I miss the way she used to be, actually smart and a clever character instead of just T&A. She is pretty, but I think I like Vivi better. XD
