[yes this is another gratitous I MET PANIC post. I'LL GET OVER IT SOON, PROMISE.]

In Affleck's, there's a shop that sells anime stuff, including a poster of Squall and Rinoa. With the Final Fantasy X-2 logo. Ahaha, what? Also, in HMV, on the film dividers was entitled 'Crazy Guy With Kung Fu'. Unfortunately, the movie wasn't actually called that. We also killed a model in Travelling Man, and decided that Gloomy Bear is the result of Kody + candy floss.

So, yesterday. Despite all the odds, was a pretty rocking day. There was some fuss with pen drives and late reports and the possibility of losing 50% of the marks for said report which I don't want to talk about. However, met up with Pinali after my group meeting, and we mall-ratted around. She is far too lovely. And I am far too giggly and prone to yelling 'thumbs!'. And have no control over spending - I ended up buying two pairs of arm warmers and new converse, because hey, black-and-pink. They weren't even being displayed, but I asked one of the people, and they were all 'Don't think so, but I'll go check.' Turned to Pin and was 'The last time this happened, I ended up with a ds.' And it turned out they did have them. So I'm happy.
We also went to mujs, which - while I still am totally uninterested in all the anime being shown - totally rocked. Which is good. I ended up going to the Grovel with a couple of people - who know eleclya_m as well, god, I feel like a stalker - and sat and drank and talked for a bit. Because, yay, socialness. Because I'm always nervous about the differences between what people say and what they mean. People might say they'll ask me along to do something, but might never do. Hmm.

To be honest, there were loads of really funny things said last night, and I don't remember any of them. Like, I swear we were going to tell Loki something, but I forget.
...Oh, yeah, that was it. Somehow, me and Pinali are Loki's offspring. Because we are internet memes, and Loki is the internet.

Also, I realised how much of a geek I was. My favourite xkcd comic is the one with the mathematical functions and the heart and I never could figure out the last one. [Because my course is almost as geeky as I am, so we know maths. I'm sure we know more maths than the maths students.] I figured it out the other day, and I was so happy. Ahaha, I'm awful.

[I'm sitting here, wearing a Nightmare before Christmas shirt, black and pink converse and stripy red arm warmers. All I'm missing is the skinny jeans, but ew, no. If I ever wear skinny jeans, shoot me.]

Yesterday's moment of looking like a complete spaz [bar the being unable to open doors and find my way around buildings, but that's all normal] - going to the library and checking 4 somewhat trashy teen novels. And Choke by Chuck Palahniuk. Because yes, it's a great switch. [It also means I got Permanent Rose, eee, Indigo.]

Also, it takes me a long time to get nicknames. There's a guy in our year who everyone calls Commodore. His surname is Norrington, duh.

My dinner today looked yummy. [It was yummy as well.] Toad in the hole. :D Proof I am not that lame at cooking.

My lab group sucks. This is the second lab this year I've had to do all by myself. They're just pretty damn lucky they're not writing the lab reports, ahaha.
I'm also totally sucking at working this semester - it's just I'm so damn tired. all the freaking time.

where does the time go? this week has just gone. like that. makes me wonder if I can claim it back somehow.

eta: also, one of my group members msn icon makes me laugh. He's trying to be all serious and work-talky, and all I can think is 'you're trying to bite off your girlfriends face.'

Amusing fact of the the other day. I went to go meet my dad after work on Tuesday - he works in the really nice bit of Manchester/Salford, right by the Lowry Hotel [a super nice and fancny 5 star hotel]. I'm walking across the bridge behind these two women, not really paying attention. One of them aplogises to someone walking the other way, and after a moment, tells the other one that they just walked past Henrik Larsson. I think her response was similar to mine - who? Apparently he's a Man United player. Heh. ...Like I really care. XD

Housing is still kind of sucky, although I have a date tomorrow ♥♥ Only, what, 4 years late, huh? >|

In other news, I'm away all weekend. XD To Derbyland!

I met someone yesterday with the same surname as the Minister of Magic in Harry Potter. Poor guy. XD

C is driving me crazy, because all I'm doing is block diagrams, flow charts and figuring out what bit of code should be doing what. But not actually programming anything.

I'm convinced Torchwood is just an entire show of fanservice. Because the gunshooting lessons? More of an excuse to touch her up, it seems. It's... interesting. And silly. And... pure fanservice.

Thank you to everyone who commented yesterday, I'll take a bit of time getting around to each comment, but in general, thanks for caring enough to say something. It's really becoming a case of the more I get down, the more I exaggerate everything else.

I'm also geeking out over a series of children's books. I am so wrong. But I'm filled with glee over it. I'm so going to the library in the morning, since I'm not in till 11. Maybe I should go swimming as well.
I also read the Farseer and Tawny Man trilogies again, and Fitz is so the dumbest hero ever. ...I love him.

Maths exam went ok, I think. Well, compared to some of the others, har. Although - we had the first meeting with our supervisors for the group project this term yesterday, and he asked both of the two groups he's supervising what they thought of the exam. General response - 'Uh, better than the others.' '...I made it too easy then?' 'No, just... the others were bad. :D'
As for the group project... A sense of impending doom, perhaps. I'm not entirely sure what happened to this sentence either. :P

Got a doctors appointment next week, which as I've mentioned before is a kind of waste of time. I'm still waiting on Mill Point giving me details of rent, or even an application form, which is frustrating. Housing costs too much as well.

...Btw, I found that tshirt I lost. It was in my wardrobe. :3;
