AHAHHAA WHAT. I hate my stupid face and it's inability to look, well, unretarded.
cut for photo )

see there. that's me. looking really, um, I don't know. please note at this point I was kind of 'o____o what what *shock*'

[yes this is another gratitous I MET PANIC post. I'LL GET OVER IT SOON, PROMISE.]

['that's not a circle, that's a fucking oblong.']

oh god, showers.

this weekend, i have:
- experienced karma, coincidence, happenstance, fate or just simple luck.
- seen a whole load of my favourite bands.
- heard a few more.
- listened to bands i was never really that into before!
- had awesome weather!
- fucked off a whole lot. ['becky, where's your mate?' '...she'll be back.']
- managed to get my lanyard signed by brand new. [only for it to rub off later. D:]
- ended up being two people away from the barrier for fall out boy.
- to achieve this, i ended up standing for around nine hours without sitting, eating or going to the toilet.
- found out the hard way how much crowdsurfers hurt when they end up putting a foot in your face.
- spoken to some pretty awesome people while in signing queues/the barrier crowd. people are so much nicer when they're not trying to put a elbow in your face. :]
- avoided circle pits like the plague. despite every band being all 'we want to see the biggest circle pit ever!'
- slept far too easily. and at weird times. 12am - 6am is not good sleeping for festival.
- ...and met panic! at the disco.

...yes, i'm still pretty hyper over that.

at some point, i'll do a more comprehensive review of the bands i saw, at least.

so, um, how are you all? :D *goes to read friends page*

[and say you do, say you love us like i know you do.]

I swear, I never used to worry this much.
it's all 'don't take any clothes you won't want ruined, that you wouldn't mind loosing' but at the same time I want to wear clothes I like. and considering I'm essentially going from Wednesday until Monday.
I think I'm just going to look at Primark tomorrow.

I'm just getting stuck on the small details right now. I don't have to sort out the bigger things, so it really doesn't make any sense. I just want to sleep lots right now.

[Becky! I'm sorry, I enjoy whining. we will have an awesome time when we finally get there.]

-

saw Ellie yesterday [she will always be my favourite] and we did, um, not very much.
she says, it's not rape if you yell surpise. [what. what.]

[we hide and go seek, and you know they'll never, never, ever find us.]

good Reading news on two fronts! We have tickets again! booyah. and also, in my attempt to be super cheeky, I was telling my parents I really hadn't had much for my birthday - at the current moment, it's a hoodie and a tshirt - so could I have more money for Reading. and they were 'um, didn't we pay for Reading?' 'uhh, no, I did.'
...long story short, as long as I iron and my mother's work people have a spare power supply for my pc [moar on that later], I'm getting my Reading money back. Which is like, £180. ahhh man, you have no idea how freaking awesome that is. booyah x2.

continuing on my endless quest to get my computer fixed... my dad phoned up Dell yesterday to find out that, um, yeah, the guarantee ran out nearly a year ago. he emailed them later, and found out we could buy a new psu off them and install it ourselves. dell then denied having that part and refused to let my dad talk to a supervisor. yeah, I know, some people say dells are shitty pcs [and guess what, if that's all you have to say then stfu plz :] ] but we've been using them for the last 20 years, almost. yeah. not happy.
but, as I said, the guys at my mother's work might have one for free. booyah.

also, my dad is getting a new car. strange. but in time to take me back up north. [i miss the north.]

basically, yes, I'm an overdramatic so-and-so, which means that- it's time to talk about ame, bitches. [photos will be later. but who really wants to see lots of photos of [livejournal.com profile] dogmop being a drunken spaz?]
what what, amecon. )

my caps got lost somewhere.
not mentioned is the millions of people I saw! millions and millions! and I love you allll. ♥♥
amecon next year? um, fuck yeah.

[going nowhere fast.]
kthxrawr: (p!atd - Ryan is too pretty)

Nyeh. so there's things that aren't that good, which really aren't anyone's faults, but yeah, are not happy making. like the kerfuffle of who was where to get the train home [I said 'ugh, I'm already at the train station!' and left them] and then news that ebay sellers are jackasses. so Reading may be no go. but maybe Becky's awesome ebay skillz will come through? I'm a little apathetic either way right now, because I'm fucking tired.

Ame. well, huh. all the events of the last four hours [apart from porn on the train] have killed my enthusiasm to talk about it.

[i wanted to be able to say 'this was the best weekend ever.' i sang 'two more weeks' on the train, and yeah. my hopes aren't too high.]

[this is all i need to feel alive.]

things that make me happy.
- my friends. yes, we all know I can be a disgusting sap at times, but hey. ♥♥ there are some of my friends who put up with a ridiculous amount of shit and clinginess off me. there are also some people who are just fantastically funny.
and the best part? I get to see a fair few of them next weekend. ♥
even if I only see you once or twice a year, even if I don't speak to you much, even if we're just lj friends, all of you have made my life so much better.

- cut for photo )
scenester cowboys. because, um, what? this is awesome, yet utterly bizarre.
also, new panic song that doesn't sound, well, odd.

- music! I mean, I went to an anime con, and came back with four cds! [we went on a tesco run and were gone for almost three hours! it was awesome.] and one of those is screamo! also, I have discovered the Hush Sound. ♥

- I have a burning desire to make Iso into the prettiest princess at amecon.

- mint and tea tree shampoo is not edible. tastes soapy. also made Steve's hair smell delicious, or so he claimed.

- House Emo won. incidentally, it seems Junpei was not pulling my leg.

- Seaking?

- Reading! Becky~ coaches? tents? I is mildly unprepared.

[and we might have started singing just a little soon.]
kthxrawr: (p!atd - Brendon - you can't be serious)

So hay, Reading. Why are you whoring out all the Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance bands? I mean. I'm not actually complaining or anything but-
Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, The Academy is, Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes. I mean. Um, ahaha, what.

Plus Brand New, Bloc Party, the Shins, Lostprophets, Hellogoodbye. Although I'll have to wait until we actually get there to work out what I'm seeing when, but I definately have certain priorities.

Jesus christ, I may actually die after that weekend. Becky! It will be fabulous. :D I'm really excited for this now.
...I've only just noticed the remarkable similarities between the HCT line up and some of this. Hmm.

(no subject)
kthxrawr: (p!atd - Jon approves)

READING, BITCHES.

FUCKING READING.

...I love Bex so much. ♥

[it means I'm going to be £200 down already so close to the start of term but but who cares. I am going to see Fall Out Boy! And Panic! And loads of others! WHATWHATWHAT]

[so much for the Summer of Like, this is the Summer of Win and Not Much Money]

[The songs you grow to like never stick at first.]
kthxrawr: (p!atd - Jon Walker is awesome.)

Ugggh, gigs.

So, sometime after Leeds tickets went on sale, Jonny decided to show me the lineup.
...Oh my god, the bastard. Because Panic!, Fall Out Boy, Lostprophets and Brand New are all the on line up. But of course, all the tickets are sold out, and ebay has them at horrendous prices. Gaaah.

Bex, tell me when you start looking and can find any that aren't way overpriced? IO have a feeling it won't happen.
I mean, I can see Panic when they tour - if they tour - after the new album, but not FOB. Because the Manchester gig is a) sold out and b) in Easter.
I am sads.

Admin at uni are still awful, and nobody knows whats happening. The only person who does comes back tomorrow.
However, I might have gone mad by then from being constantly told to plead my case.

...I do have a lot of anger, I guess. Ha.

I also have a lot of hunger. And desire for a new haircut. I have no idea if bangs would actually suit me.

I'm just sitting here humming the Imperial march. Life is good for the moment.
