So, it went from being a very good day... to somewhat mediocre. Then back to good again.
Met up with Pina, Sophie, Helena and some other random people to see At World's End.
- less freaking plot! Seriously, I was kind of 'so who is double crossing who now?'
- Calypso. Hmmm. It was a good idea, but would have worked better if they'd have actually, you know, mentioned it before? I mean, everyone knew about Tia Dalma being Davy Jones' long lost lover etc etc, but this? Feh. So yeah, they tried to do too much!
- pieces of eight that resonate 'the song'. Jesus christ, would it kill you to, like, explain things?
- Will. You are emo and betraying and burden bearing and kind of hot! Until you wore that freaking bandana.
- Elizabeth. Also hot, and burden bearing and a pirate king!
- Jack. Hee. You are amusing and crazy.
- Ending. sfljkfhs. Oh, Will. Oh, Elizabeth! The Flying Dutchman having its purpose returned! Ugly bandanas! Ten years! Oh. I really liked it, in a way it made me very sad. It was something I defintely wasn't expecting, so bravo Disney.
- The after credit bit. Aww.
- hay, tentacles.
So. Hmm. I liked it. I may see it again. It could have been so much better though.

And then there was ddr whoreage, and finding out that the Body Shop in the Trafford Centre doesn't have it either! Which sucks. And ddr kills me dead. As always.
We headed back into the city centre to mooch around hmv and bitch about their music classification - because, seriously! Fall out Boy and Panic are not metal! I can just see all the metal heads weeping in pain. Watched some odd breakdancers, and met up with Sophie to go find the others and eat noodles.
...The noodles were good! Ahaha, that's all I can say.
We wandered around a bit, and ended up in the Footage, where there was much randomness. Including talking about lj and the internet. Oh yeah, we're that cool. That basically made me feel quite a bit better about things, because I have this tendency to clam up when I'm nervous, and I get more nervous around some people. Which sucks. So yeah, ahah, thanks Alan :D
Also, lemon Fanta is overpriced, and it's really cold in here. This is probably a cue for me to bury myself in my nice thick duvet and sleep. Especially since my dad is coming to pick up my stuff tomorrow. Oops.
Even though things happen that I'm not pleased about, even if I keep messing things up, life keeps moving on, and I think that's a good thing. It means I'm not trying to dwell on my shortcomings as much. It never takes me much to feel good again.
I can't say music has saved my life, but it's certainly made it a lot more bearable.
Um, wow. I used to be so freaking emo, what, ahah. I can get pretty down and attention seeking true, but nothing to that degree. Whoa. At least old journals make me think 'what a much nicer person I am now!' Because believe me, this ain't as half as bad as it's been.
- [what did you learn tonight, while shouting so loud, you barely joyous, broken thing?]

I think I need to see it again just to see if some stuff makes more sense and also coz 1- scenes of multiple completely insane Jack Sparrows can never be seen to many times, 2- *wails* JAAAAAAAAMES, 3- I still can't believe they managed to make Will Turner look even more feminine than normal, he was basically a woman with a bit of facial hair at the end, 4- he may be a woman, and Orlando Bloom may still be completely without acting talen, but damn he's prettiful, and 5- KEEEEEEF!

And god, yes, Orlando Bloom is so pretty. But I found the Will and Elizabeth scenes cute and emo-hurty, so I don't mind that part.
It just could have been so much better. Like, if they'd've planned it a bit better? Put in some more clues to Calyspo, made Will's characterisation run a bit smoother - just something that I noticed he goes from being quite naive in the first one, and then unexplainably... cutthroat and straight to the point when asking Jack for the compass. And then back to being naive again. It made more sense in the third one, because of all the betryal but... blargh.

For me Will and Elizabeth just got far too much screentime, which could've been far better used to expand on the more interesting characters/storylines.
