[Poll #652700]

Note, this says DS or no DS. Not PSP. XP

Everyone's coming back. I'm bored.

Oh, who else saw John Barrowman on that itv skating thing? XD I was 'I want him to win. *geekgeekgeek*'

My loan doesn't cover that much. XD

Yes you should get a DS, and yes you should get Animal Crossing. :D

Saw him, thought he was awesome and voted for him too! Although I would have voted for him even if he wasn't all that good simply because he's John Barrowman! ^_^

I have a DS and I still say no, I think for a new generation hand-held console it's a bit of a waste of money. I never really play mine, the games choice is pretty crap, and the stock of games that shops have shows that, as a lot of places might as well not be selling it at all

Erm, that has more to do with Sony providing "funds" for "increased PSP exposure", which Nintendo don't do, and the general anti-Nintendo bias the high street has always had...

The DS is getting a reputation for the variety of games!

Even if they do have an anti-nintendo bias, if something doesn't sell as well, thats just how it is, in my opinion, the gamecube is an example.

This is an LJ however, so I won't make a full blown out discussion on this, but you're point is still a good one anyway. Not sure about the variety of games thing thoug, they seem a bit boring to me.

Given that, worldwide, the DS is outselling the PSP about 4:1, and evenly even here in Nintendo's weakest market, I doubt that's "not selling too well" :p

Also what other system gives you a choice between a lawyer game, a puppy simulator, a surgeon game, "brain training", and a load of other completely barmy stuff?

even if its you steve, nothing makes me smile more than watching someone get owned when talking about sales of DS vs PSP....

did anyone see the new wooden pole attachment sony released for the psp ?

apparently it makes it easier for nintendo to wipe the floor with it !

(wow, talk about being witty on the spot, im using this one at college!)

I have to say, I totally disagree with everything Steve just said xD

I play my DS all the bloomin time and there're some fantastic games out there if you've got a bit of time to really get into them... there's some good looking stuff on the way... and there's also some complete and utter crap, although you could really say that about any gaming system.

(I gots pr0n for £5 the other day...) (Project rub xD)

I'd recommend buying it with either Mario Kart (if you like the racing, it's even better if you have people to play against however) or something like Lost in Blue (although short attention spans will make this game lame)

Nintendogs is kind of cool, and very cute, but it's not £30 worth of cool and very cute IMO.

I'd have to say no, if just because I have a DS and I hardly ever play it. And when I do I usually end up using it for the GBA function. So far all the games i'd class as good either aren't out here or are rehashes of console versions I already own.

DS is teh awesome :D

I play mine all the time, mostly Mario Kart though >_>

Yeah, get a DS with Mario Kart DS, then you can play with people around the world (providing you can find a Wi-Fi hotspot). It'll be even better when Animal Crossing DS comes out, plus you can play all your old GBA games on it (Though not the original or colour GB cartgidges as they dont fit in the slot).

DS + Mario kart is purchase numero uno for £99.99

THEN

Animal Crossing about £26.99 from www.lik-sang.com

then you are set for life !!!

I now have changed my mind, you should get a DS, after playing it today I have gained back my interest in it, also some of the games coming out do look cool, especially the surgeon one :P. They all seem to be coming out around march time I think.
