Depends if they're Christmas elves or you know, elves. ¦3

[identity profile] kthxrawr.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
exactly ¦3 I just want to see what people think of when they think of elves.

[identity profile] nekomalik.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Twiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiins!!

[identity profile] shootthetanks.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Well there's the sweet loveable and knee-high Christmas elves, and the evil elves that are about, chest height, then there are the proud, tall and elegant elves of the Tolkein era... yeah I wish people would make up their mind on the appearance of elves. XD

[identity profile] isonekobaka.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
Christmaas Elves are just mis-named dwarves, they appear all cute and loveable but really there grumpy and drunk.

[identity profile] onsentamago.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
CHRISTMAS LEGOLAS? IN MY CHIMNEY??

[identity profile] nekomalik.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Eh? When did he get out?

[identity profile] onsentamago.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
XD You turn your back for one second and suddenly he's getting around much more ^_^;; You should really keep him in tighter chains!

[identity profile] nekomalik.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Nah, we ditched the chains after he chewed through them for the third time.

Elastic bands work so much better XD

[identity profile] nekomalik.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Tall. And really fucking sexy!!!

And twins! Twiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiins!!

[identity profile] isonekobaka.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 11:14 am (UTC)(link)
o.O *pokes* crazy girl

[identity profile] pawsaldo.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
it depends like in D&D they are smaller then humans, but then in generic fantasy settings they are taller.

THEN there is tiny elves XD

So yeah all of them XD

[identity profile] kiraras-lemon.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Ahahah, I thought of Christmas elves xD
The holiday season is already affecting me...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/daryoon_/ 2007-11-06 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Tolkien made elves taller.
Then again, Tolkien's elves were originally going to be faeries...

The original Germanic and Scandinavian elves were smaller than humans.

[identity profile] epicureal.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
D&D says they're taller :|

[identity profile] insanedeano.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
Urm... no it doesn't. Not from my recollection. They're actually slightly smaller than humans in DnD.

[identity profile] kijovalryx.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
Are we talking D&D rules, Tolkenian, generic fantasy, holiday elves or what here?

What kind of elf? High elf, wood elf, drow, etc.?

[identity profile] kthxrawr.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 09:36 am (UTC)(link)
whatever you think of first when you think of elf, really.

[identity profile] harripanda.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
lol thats what I though too. Perchance I should lay off the OBlivion/Morrowind for a spell XD

[identity profile] harripanda.livejournal.com 2007-11-06 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Taller, unless they are Wood Elves. Then they are short mo'fos. If you are going by Elder Scrolls lore.

Tolkein lore says taller, all the time no exceptions.
